Before he was very similar to an primate so your idea that man was man for more than a million of years is just rubbish.

I said "we and our ancestors" which includes the apelike animals which came before humans because they are our ancestors, too.

Well, if you put it in that way how can i argue with you? Smile

Our remote ancestors could also have caught small game like that so they wouldn't have needed big teeth and claws etc. They just caught their meat in the same way that chimps and bonobos do today. Humans only moved on to hunting big animals once they'd invented proper weapons.

To catch small game you don't need big canine and claws but you still need a proper digestive system that can cope with saturated fat, cholesterol and toxins.
Now if you consider that these people living in the bush do a lot of physical exercise and breathe fresh and clean air and the animals are wild so free of antibiotics, hormones and all the rest then these people are in part able to get rid of some of the crap but you got to look at today reality which is totally different.
But again you also got to look at the mental non-progress of these people which shouldn't be confused with survival skills. Wink Shades

Let us say that only 6% of soia is used for human consumption, all the rest is used to feed animals.

You really think that an asteroid impact in one place affected the whole planet?

Why do you view that as a mistake?

Ricketto insists that nature never makes mistakes. If it's not just random chance, nature made a very big mistake with that asteroid. Big Grin

Chimpanzees and bonobos eat meat as well as termites. Chimps, bonobos and humans have a common ancestor which suggests that our common ancestor had an ape diet. Why is it OK for chimps and bonobos to eat meat and termites if humans aren't adapted to it?

We have often agreed that factory farmed meat isn't the same as wild animal meat.

Don't be so bloody arrogant about people who don't live the same lifestyle as you.

Dinosaur-Killer" Asteroid Crater Imaged for First Time

Quote:Exactly how the Chicxulub impact caused Earth's mass extinctions is not known (see links below). Scientists imagine three possible scenarios: Some think the impact threw massive quantities of dust into the atmosphere which blocked the sun and arrested plant growth. Others believe sulfur released by the impact lead to global sulfuric acid clouds that blocked the sun and also fell as acid rain. Another possibility is that red-hot debris from the falling asteroid or comet triggered global wildfires.

Each of those possible scenarios effected the whole planet because it was a very big asteroid.

If it's all cleverly planned, why start out with dinosaurs, kill them off and then start all over again evolving little mammals? You might as well evolve a species of dinosaur to get a brain equal to that of humans. I don't see why an ape is superior to a dinosaur.

He may not view it as a mistake because, if the dinosaurs weren't extinct, chances that humans will become the superior animals on Earth would be rather slim.

Big human brains are turning out to be a major mistake of nature. Look what we're doing to the planet. Tongue

O.o

Are you shitting me? Really?

"you still need a proper digestive system that can cope with saturated fat, cholesterol and toxins."

A) Cholesterol is a vital chemical produces by our bodies that performs several vital functions such as building cell walls and repairing wounds. The "bad" cholesterol is actually oxidized due to, you guessed it, processed carbs and corn starches.

B) Saturated animal fat is used in building nervous system tissue as well as in providing energy. Our bodies love the stuff and eating some is necessary for us.

Are you getting confused about the Earth's Magnetic Field?

It naturally reverses every few hundred thousand years. The problem for humans this time is our technological civilisation.

Quote:Electric grid collapse from severe solar storms is a major risk. As the magnetic field continues to weaken, scientists are highlighting the importance off-the grid energy systems using renewable energy sources to protect the Earth against a black out.
'The very highly charged particles can have a deleterious effect on the satellites and astronauts,' added Dr Mona Kessel, a Magnetosphere discipline scientist at Nasa.
