Yeah, I like most of the stuff about christmas. However, the celebration that goes on in my head is usually a bit different from the norm - marveling at the great winter night sky with all my favourite constellations, and how that makes me feel connected to the cosmos. This combined with a winter landscape below, some nice mulled wine, and friends and family, that's christmas for me!

Family, food, and free stuff. What's not to like about christmas? Not to mention that the winter solstice is an important holiday for most religious/spiritual people. I guess about the only people who wouldn't like it, dislike it because of the commercialism. People trampling each other to get stuff for the kids.

Ah yes, it's days like Black Friday where people will literally rampage stores like animals for "good deals" on things they don't even need.
Is christmas really about christianity anymore though? Last time I checked getting presents, stuffing your face with food and being bombarded with christmas adverts was more important than Jesus.

If there really is a "war on christmas" like the religious say, it's not the atheists that are against it. It's big business trying to make money off of it. Honestly most non christians are probably just trying to remind christians that there's more than one religion that celebrates the winter solstice, and it's common knowledge that Jesus' birthdate wasn't originally Dec 25 anyway.
