Most of the references to the God character refer to the various emperors who ruled the Middle East area for centuries, such as Xerxes, his daddy Darius, and Nebuchadnezzar. There are only a very few passages that mention the invisible celestial deity and there are some that mention the desert mountain-dwelling deity as well. But all of the ones that has the God character flapping his jaws are men who were called "God" because they had absolute power over their subjects.

Always remember that you are reading a ethnocentric Jewish religious fairy tale that puts a spin on their centuries of collaboration with various Middle East rulers.
