Yeah I know, but I'm talking about the schools that do. Such as the A.C.E school that Dawkins visited in "The Root of All Evil?" or other schools like it in America for example. There certainly are schools that teach it as true. Maybe they don't preach it, but they teach it to be true or they mix religious views with science like in A.C.E for example!
I know religious schools and teaching are a lot less backward than they used to be. But some are still really stupid.

Indeed, but at least there are some improvements.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence - Carl Sagan

Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.

Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.

You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.

Of course, if all the schools were backward because of religion, it would be a lot worse and science almost certainly wouldn't have been able to advance as much either. Because religious teachings taught as a truth, or worse, as gospel (or rather preached as gospel), are of course unscientific/anti-scientific.

I believe in the power of the almighty Flying Spaghetti Monster, you cannot deny him or the theory of intelligent falling.

Religion is no differant a story than jack and the magical beanstalk. God is no differant a fictional character than micky the mouse or tom and jerry.

They are fictional as nothing supports it. By logic and science it is just storys. So a little word for you theists here, you rant and rant over and over thinking you are part of some magical story and trying to get the rest of us to follow blindly. It is only a story, it is just a hypothasis, it is nothing more than a fiction of your imgaination. I see that, we see that but you don't.

It is delusional. So please rethink your words before hand. You are talking about a story that has no facts, no theory and no evidence. People of science cannot just turn away from all that data collected from many hundreds of years and from thousands of scientists just because of this little yet nasty story of yours that holds no evidence.

If you want me to listen your going to need evidence and please don't say "existance is evidence" because I can say the same thing for the spaghetti monster. In which you cannot dis-prove.
So take one good look around you and re-evaluate your surroundings. Reality can not be easily explained by one simple yet violent and contradictory story.

The old testament predates the time of Jesus and contains prophecies of his coming. The prophets also speak of the re-establishment of Israel, which has occured recently. Does this not constitute testimony? It is not scientifically verifiable, but it is truth!
The bible contains essential spiritual truths on how you may be saved.

And the evidence for that is?

Oh wait let me guess: the bible.

There is nothing in the bible that I hold true as the word of god. Everything that is in there reads as if it was written by religious zealots 2000 years ago. You know why? Because it is. Some guys wrote a story around the OT in the NT so Jesus fits the prophecies, AFTER the fact. Prophecies are a lot easier to fulfill when you write about them decades later. Do you have any reference outside the bible for this, and do not bring up Josephus, what is in their about Jesus is so little and its authenticity is doubted even amongst theologists.

I agree, we need proper evidence from this guy if he wants to have a proper debate.

Anyone can say something like that with very vage predictions (clairvoyants) for example. Jesus learnt the book of the jews (old testamaent) and wanted to became that so called prophecy as did many others before him. The only difference was Jesus wasn't found out by the few foolish followers who believed everything he said. Being loving, caring, brave, noble and a leader doesn't mean you have super powers. That's assuming he was.

I guess I should start by asking you all what you beleive. Since you are athiests you probably beileve that the world is millions of years old and we all came from some monkeys who came from some fish who decided one day to step out of the oceans! I reckon some of you probably say you beleive this but secretly know it is a lie and really rediculous thing to say!

Jesus said He was the way, the truth, and the light, and that you only get to heaven through Him! If you think about it, athiesm is REALLY stupid tho! If you are right (ad you are not!) then nothing happens when you die, but if you are wrong (u are!) then you go to Hell for eternity! If you believe in Christianity (the one tru religion) then you go to Heaven when you die, ad you can live foreva!

Still not converted? Please comment!
FAITH = SUPERSTITION.
Teen4Jesus, cheked out your profile...you don't give much away, do you? I take it from your screenname that you are a teenager? That said, I am curious as to why you subscribe to superstition. Have you arrived at your choice yourself? Have your parents indoctrinated you? Are you rebelling against your parents? Or, like ManofGod on this forum, has the spook talked directly to you i.e told you to get on this forum?
HuhA man is born to a virgin mother, lives, dies, comes alive again and then disappears into the clouds to become his Dad. How likely is that?
