Christians say the exact same thing about ex-Christians. You have to love the "No True Scotsman" fallacy. "No true Muslim/Christian would ever leave Islam/Christianity so therefore you were never really a Muslim/Christian in the first place."
They have to do this. It's one thing to never be persuaded to join a religion. They can dismiss me because I've never really felt that "Holy Spirit" so I can't understand. Or they can say I'm too proud to serve God. Or they can say I'm having too much fun living a life of sin and rebellion. There are many ways to reject a skeptic who never believed. None of these work on someone like you because you were a believer at one point. They have to deny you were a believer because the only alternative is to try to understand why you turned away from the promise of Heaven and how you came to conclude it's all nonsense. On some level, they have to know where that path leads.
Quote:Islam ... is a pagan reformation.
Same thing for Christianity. The Jews had no concept of Hell and the idea of an intercessor like the Christian idea of Jesus is blasphemous to the god of the Old Testament. These things came from pagan sources.
Religion is like any other part of culture in that it absorbs traditions from neighbors or anything else it's exposed to. Evangelical faiths like Christianity or Islam that seek to acquire followers from all over the world will absorb the traditions of others. It makes their conversion easier.

I am an asexual, what on earth would I do with my penis? It is like telling an electrician that you are a better plumber than he is. What the hell would an electrician do with plumbing skills. Same could be said about sex in my case yet alone my penile length
I think Darinda was just talking about was not you but the god-comparison between rival religions. To quote comedian George Carlin, "My god has a bigger dick than your god".
