Life is not improbable.

Life is not improbable.
All life needs is 1 self replicating molecule and planet that make life possible.
Now take all the planets with conditions that make life possible.
Many.
Now take all the years those planets existed.
Many.
Now take all the molecules on all of those planets.
Many.

In order to have life all you need is 1 self replicating molecule.

Whats the chance of life appearing somewhere at some point? Big.

That is why mathematicians and physicists say it is beyond reasonable doubt that life exists elsewhere in the universe.

What are the odds that they are smarter than humans?

Depends on the humans.

I swear there are amoeba on Saturn that are smarter than creationists.

There is more stupid life as a matter of probability.

If you increase size even further you can get planet with a dude who is exactly like you.

Well, what you have to remember is that when a christian tells you how improbable life is, or the universe is, or whatever... they haven't actually done any calculations of probability, or even thought about it, really. They're just asserting that it's so based on nothing more than their own incredulity, as though the fact that they don't know how it works means it doesn't without godmagic.

Even addressing that claim seriously at all is giving it more thought than the person who initially broached it did.

From what I've seen, they have done some calculations sort of like the Drake equation. But they fill them with probabilities dragged out of their asses and with insane assumptions about mechanisms and processes. So you get a claim that the self assembly of some complicated bio-molecule has a chance of 10^-100 of happening. Then there is some sort of bare assertion that anything with a probability less than 10^-50 is an impossibility and so self assembly is proved impossible QED.
This generally happens in an environment where such self assembly is happening. Universally, they never see this as ironic.
So how, exactly, does God know that She's NOT a brain in a vat? Huh

My point is that when you have infinite amount of events it's not the probability that is important but a possibility. If something is possible it happens cause there is such a huge number of events. Life is possible. Therefore it happens.
