We don't eat BBQ to be healthy. Seriously, though - don't use starter fluid (you don't need it - use a chimney instead), and use lump charcoal, not briquettes.

Crockpot. Cheap-ass commercial BBQ sauce (I like Hunt's). Pork shoulder. Soda (either Dr. Pepper, orange soda, or Coke).

Erm... Whatever is in those little disposable BBQs you get for like £1 in Sainsbury's.

In Britain, BBQs tend to be impromptu events, as we never really know when it's going to be sunny.
