Homosexuals "wrecking" Christian careers

Businesses that do discriminate often get extra business from Christians who support their discrimination. When Chick-fil-A announced its opposition to gay marriage, tons of Christians decided that it was their Christian duty to support Chick-fil-A.

So what?

How exactly did a bunch of Christians going to lunch at Chick-Fil-A. harm gays?

If anything it hurt their business in the long term as it closed off markets to them. Do you think Chick-Fil-A is contemplating opening stores in San Francisco right now?

You almost made me curse.

If they had "gone" to the restaurant any other time, it would have been no big deal. The fact that they all decided to line up outside the restaurant around the time of the controversy is quite telling in itself, for it states to the average intellectual individual that the point was to state "That's right, we're supporting bigotry by eating here."

The fact that the religious have more control over the government than common sense, or else inane cases would not waste taxpayer dollars, is enough to inform anyone that the problem has and will continue to be with the religous people who want nothing except to see the world ruled in their favor.

You wanting to Chic-Fil-A to recognize gay marriages is simply you wanting to see the world ruled in your favor.

I am okay with you having an opinion about how the world should be ruled. I only have a problem when you try to force your opinion onto my action.

Let people be free to choose. Learn to accept that having a free society means some people get to be douchebags. For some, being a douchebag is the other guy boycotting Chic-Fil-A for opposing gay marriage.

The world is relative. It need not conform exactly to your absolute world view. Learn to accept the world as relative.

Hmm... I think those God-mongerers have been watching too many sci-fi movies in the 1950s they are living in. Because that would explain the person-sized grasshopper.

A company that deals with the public, made a public announcement that hurt it. That is my point. Those in charge of the company can have their opinions about same-sex marriage, but those in charge should also be aware of the consequences of publicly stating their opinions.

It is quite the conundrum, honestly. They only have "God" on their side so far as his imaginary presence hides their bigotry like Harry Potter's special cloak.

The consequence is that they may go out of business. So what. Its not like it would be a disaster if Chic-Fil-A went out of business.

You should be free to boycott Chic-Fil-A. Chic-Fil-A should be free to give you a reason to boycott them. A world in which your or Chic-Fil-A's freedom is impinged is a sorry world.

Certainly, yet it spoke more of the company's ignorance than actual business acumen.

People should be free to serve who they want to serve. If you force a baker to serve someone they don't want to serve.....you turn that baker into a slave.

Are we talking about Christian's or Heywoodites ?? Christian's are (or should be) constrained by Scripture. I take it Heywoodites can look at the Bible like a cafeteria and pick and choose what they want to believe and enforce regarding strictures and edicts since Heywood knows better than Jesus.
