Are we talking about Christian's or Heywoodites ?? Christian's are (or should be) constrained by Scripture. I take it Heywoodites can look at the Bible like a cafeteria and pick and choose what they want to believe and enforce regarding strictures and edicts since Heywood knows better than Jesus.
Christians are constrained by scripture?? They cannot pick and choose which verses to believe in and enforce while ignoring others?? That is news to me.

You should be free to boycott Chic-Fil-A. Chic-Fil-A should be free to give you a reason to boycott them. A world in which your or Chic-Fil-A's freedom is impinged is a sorry world.
I worked at Wal-mart for a number of years, in which time I encountered hundreds of people who were unpleasant, nasty, abusive, or for other reasons, I just did not like them very much. According to the rules of my employer, I had to serve every customer, whether or not I wanted to.
If a business has the right be discriminating when it comes to who they serve, then it only makes sense that this same right extends to individual employees. They should have the right to refuse to deal with anybody they don't feel like dealing with, for whatever reason. If it is imposing upon a company's rights for the government to demand that they serve people they do not like, should a company likewise not be allowed to take away their employee's right not to serve people they don't like?

I would think the employee can legally refuse to serve someone and the employer can legally fire the employee for refusing to serve that person.

That's probably how people like Heywood envision it, but that's one hell of a double standard, wouldn't you say?

I tend not to take self described 'Christians' very seriously if they have the attitude they know better than Jesus about particular matters they themselves find inconvenient.
If they feel a strong urge to inflict their dogma on me, they damn well better be following it Scripture and Verse themselves.
Other wise it be time to go into mocking mode.

Really wish you'd do some research before you start running off at the mouth.
Brendan Eich resigned. The programmers at Mozilla (you know, the people who do most of the work) were revolting & threatening to bail. No programmers = no Mozilla. If they had actually fired him, he would have had a guaranteed legal payday.
Quote:Brendan was not fired and was not asked by the Board to resign. Brendan voluntarily submitted his resignation. The Board acted in response by inviting him to remain at Mozilla in another C-level position. Brendan declined that offer. The Board respects his decision.
tldr; Bigot reaps the consequences of his bigotry, news at 11.

It has not improved over the years. The corporation only lasts because it puts other businesses out of comission, hires employees for low wages, and ensures everyone in the world wants their cheap products for cheap prices.

Oh, I know. I've kept in touch with people who didn't wise up like I did. It would have been just a bit better if the company didn't violate my First Amendment rights by forcing me to handle customers I didn't want to handle, though.

Unfortunately, that is the problem I have had in any work place here in Florida. Right to work is the problem.

If you told or otherwise demonstrated to Walmart a desire to not serve gay couples, I would expect Walmart to terminate your employment. Employment comes with the understanding that you will have to work under certain conditions. If you are unwilling to accept those conditions then find another job or start your own business.
