The man hosted a private party. He has the right to include or exclude anyone he wanted. The idea that he can invite who he wants legally doesn't make it morally right or not racist. Also I don't know who thinks it's okay for a Texas restaurant to refuse LGBT people (how would they even know?). The morally consistent thing would be to condemn both and certainly not to defend Jay-Z.
