Rely on God
#11
RE: Rely on God
If you want to trust the words of someone who believes in a god - fine. Trust me. Deists believe in God (well, of sorts).

...and I'm telling you ...

Don't waste your time worshiping any god. Only a fool considers the musings of ancient dead primitives as legitimate directives for living one's own life. The Bible is and always was written for one purpose: to keep power in the hands of the powerful, and keep the poor gullible masses - enslaved.

Your choice though. Use it and nurture immoral guidelines for your life or burn it and start yourself a nice warm fire on a cold evening.

Scientology could change your life too GC. You'd learn how body thetans are responsible for so much distress in your life! Come and take our personality test! It's free! No obligation! Eventually, with enough effort (and $$$!!!), you will learn to teleport and move objects with your mind. Talk about life-changing! Imagine being able to have lunch in Paris whenever you want! You just have to sign this here billion year contract...

Don't be afraid that people might call you stupid and delusional for believing in Scientology! What do they know anyway? Nothing!

Oh wait, you think your pet bullshit religion and its unsubstantiated claims is different than some other bullshit religion and its unsubstantiated claims. Gotcha.

I do not have a mental problem, unlike many here say they do, could be I'm reading the right book already.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

You don't have emotional issues because you have severe cognitive ones.
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell

Nor did I say you did have mental problems.

Now, do you ever do things you later regret?

Do foods sometimes taste salty?

Do you smell toast in the morning?

If you answer yes (or no!) to any of these questions, Scientology may be just what you need in your life. Not to mention the teleporting and mind reading!

Could be all books that make unsubstantiated claims should be treated with a healthy dose of skepticism.

Many people who regularly read Mother Goose don't have mental problems, either.

I guess fairytales are the ultimate cure to mental health issues.

The Book I read doesn't deal with yes and no, that's why I know that I'm reading the correct one, it's not two faced and wishy washy and best of all there's an omniscient mind behind it.

Then maybe you should start.

I don't need to. I have my depression well under control without drugs or reading fairytales.

Perhaps you should try ready different books of fairytales to the one you hold onto and claim is real.

The guy who vociferously insists that the disembodied voices in his head are direct communiques from the invisible man who created the universe with magic words says he doesn't have a mental problem.

Your problem, dickhead, is that you need to start reading other books.
