RE: Elite..
Is that an updated version of the Elite game which was around in the 1980's?

I got to Elite rank with the Commodore 64 version. And yes, I got overrun by Trumbles at one point. Luckily I'd saved my game at a point before I bought a Trumble off the trader. Smile

I helped Kickstart that game. Despite all the nay-sayers, I've been really happy with the projects I've helped fund.

Do want!!!!
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Slight upgrade from the C-64 version. And by "slight upgrade" I mean HOLY SHIT.

I am ready to waste many hours playing this.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

I have, in the past, played the free open-source version Oolite and was very impressed with how they updated things, especially graphically. This new one beats that into a wormhole though, far as I can see. I'm a guy who spent literally years exploring Frontier: Elite II and never once reached the edge of the galaxy. I hope this one lives up to that game's standard.

I'm too old and arthritic to cope with that kind of game now. My reflexes are hopeless. Sad
