Lois Lerner's emails.
#21
RE: Lois Lerner's emails.
What would it take for the committed 'anti-anything-Republican' Democrats to link Obama to a legitimate scandal or criminal offense? Who cares if politics is fueling the investigation. Don't you want to know the truth of the matter, even if you have to wade through the silly smears to get there?

I have called you a bare faced liar because you claimed that there was, and I quote, "a legitimate line of investigation that points to him (Obama)."
That is a huge bare assed lie and you know it!

Quit trying to dodge your lie and address it. Either apologize for lying or cough up the evidence!

Heywood,

In case you missed it, I called you a liar... you might want to address that..

But I guess that people who lie about actually contacting god learn to live comfortably with their deceit.

I once crashed the entire Brooklyn District travel voucher reporting program because instead of hitting Y or N on a question I missed and hit M and entered it without noticing. It took them until the following morning to get it back up.
The saddest part of that story was that they managed to get the system back up. :p

Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. It is an established fact that conservative groups were scrutinized at a greater rate than liberal progressive ones. Now I would be perfectly content with chalking this up to some douchbag, rouge, democunt IRS drones. In all honesty...who couldn't see a Minimalist like whackjob holding up the applications of conservative groups?

We shouldn't tolerate democunt abuse at the IRS or republocunt abuse in NJ (i.e. the bridge hoo-ha). It deserves to be investigated and it was. Now in the course of that investigation it is learned that certain emails were "accidently" destroyed; emails to and from people outside the IRS. This suggests that maybe people outside the IRS were involved....possibly even the administration.

For some 'anti-anything-republicans' democrats....they simply do not care if the government is corrupt....as long as the corruption furthers their own ideology.

I argued with a friend tonight who is such a democrat and he basically admitted that he thought Tea Party groups should be given greater scrutiny then progressive ones. His attitude, "what ever it takes" to keep those republicans from destroying the country.

Tea Party groups most certainly should be given greater scrutiny, and by the FBI and DHS rather than the IRS. If they are not an organization officially promoting the violent overthrow of a lawful government, they are rife with people who are very open about wanting to do it. It's not in our interest to pretend that an anti-government organization whose members plan (and occasionally attempt to carry out) rebellion has political legitimacy.

A *lot* of people still use tape. It's far more cheap & reliable than any other comparable long term storage media.

Personally, I just can't believe that the IRS doesn't uses multiple redundant email servers for email. At the same time I have no problem with them vetting any of these supposed political "non-profit" organizations that serve no other purpose but to hide & shift around money. My opinion is that they shouldn't exist at all.

This guy is no computer whiz but even he knows that the rest of the world has moved on.

Show me a technology for reliable intermediate-term storage of high-volume archival data that isn't tape, which can come close to being as economical.

Tape is still widely used.

Quote:During the 1980s, more than 75 right-wing extremists were prosecuted in the United States for acts of terrorism, although they carried out only six attacks during the decade.[24] In 1983, Gordon Kahl, a Posse Comitatus activist, killed two federal marshals and was later killed by police. Also that year, the white nationalist revolutionary group The Order (also known as the Brüder Schweigen or Silent Brotherhood) robbed several banks and armored cars, as well as a sex shop;[25] bombed a theater and a synagogue; and murdered radio talk show host Alan Berg.[26][27]

The April 19, 1995 attack on the Murrah federal building in Oklahoma, by the right-wing extremist Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols, which killed 168 people.[28] McVeigh stated it was retaliation for the government's actions in Ruby Ridge and Waco.[29] McVeigh attended Michigan militia group gun shows.[30][31]

Eric Rudolph executed a series of terrorist attacks between 1996 and 1998. He carried out 1996 Centennial Olympic Park bombing — which claimed two lives and injured 111 — with the aim of to cancelling the games, claiming they promoted global socialism.[32] Rudolph confessed to bombing an abortion clinic in Sandy Springs, an Atlanta suburb, on January 16, 1997; the Otherside Lounge, an Atlanta lesbian bar, on February 21, 1997, injuring five; and an abortion clinic in Birmingham, Alabama on January 29, 1998, killing Birmingham police officer and part-time clinic security guard Robert Sanderson, and critically injuring nurse Emily Lyons.

According to data compiled by the New America Foundation, since the 2001 September 11 attacks, right-wing extremists have committed at least eight lethal terrorist attacks in the United States, resulting in the deaths of nine people.[citation needed] According to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, between January 1, 2007 and October 31, 2009, white supremacists were involved in 53 acts of violence, 40 of which were assaults directed primarily at African-Americans, seven of which were murders and the rest of which were threats, arson and intimidation. "These were treated as racially motivated crimes rather than political acts of violence, i.e. terrorism.

No attacks listed for the USA.

Just sayin.

Most pictures of Tea Party events I've seen consist of old folks with US flag pins and country music lovin' rednecks. Is there evidence that these people are by and large dangerous or violent? Do those right-wing extremists who do promote violence warrant suspicionless surveillance of everyone who holds right-wing, anti-government views? THAT would be crazy talk.
