"If there's a bustle in your hedgrow, dont be alarmed now

An here I thought you were just another dumb-ass. That makes so much more sense. Dodgy

(June 19, 2014 at 9:30 pm)professor Wrote: I will re-phrase the lyric for you.

"If there is a bustle in your hedgerow"=
If there is a disturbance in your personal protection...
Don't be alarmed now.
"Its just a spring clean for the may queen"=
It is preparatory move for the most powerful witch in the spring equinox.
So, you're re-stating the lyrics with your interpretation. How quaint. Meaningless, but quaint.

(June 19, 2014 at 9:30 pm)professor Wrote: Some of the other elements of the song are interesting also.
But these are the most telling.
Wikipedia relates the author saying some of the words were written by his hand suddenly moving (automatic writing) and there the lyrics were.
Got a link for this claim? Wiki's a big place after all.

(June 19, 2014 at 9:30 pm)professor Wrote: We don't have many hedgerows over here in the US, but in England a hedgerow is an extremely thick and impassable line of bushes.
The may queen is selected during the celebration of the equinox.
Occultist observe astronomical events as their holy days.
And you finish off with a bunch of unrelated "facts" for us. Yay.

Your tenure should be revoked, "professor."

Here are some alternative (to your) interpretations:

Care to comment on these?!?

And, you never gave any reason why "Every witch and every warlock knows what it means."

C'mon prof. You can troll better than this!

They mean whatever you interpret them to mean.

As per Robert Plant, they aren't meant to mean a damn thing.

Most. Overplayed. Song. Ever.

When that fucker comes on my radio or my MP3 player, 9 times out of 10 I hit skip or change the station. The tenth time I don't even realize it's on til it hits the bridge, and then I turn the fucker up.

TL;DR: Skip the first five minutes.

LOL, the lyrics -are- what they -are- so that a little trick of timing can be accomplished..creating an abbreviated hook. It's almost as if people weren't forced to take music anymore.........
(as per all things on the periphery of the mystical....it serves a purpose in accomodating a mundane task, regardless of whatever drunken version of a story might be told afterwards)
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

The May Queen isn't a witch. She can be regarded as the Maiden aspect of the Goddess as personified by the Roman goddess - Flora

Quote:In Roman mythology, Flora (Latin: Flōra) was a goddess of flowers and the season of spring,[1] a symbol for nature and flowers. While she was otherwise a relatively minor figure in Roman mythology, being one among several fertility goddesses, her association with the spring gave her particular importance at the coming of springtime.[2]

Selecting a May Queen is one of many British traditions. Here's the procession of the May Queen from the Moulton village festival - do you honestly think that the entire population of the village are witches?

The bustling in the hedgerow lines can be interpreted in umpteen different ways. Mine is nature shaking off winter in readiness for the new growth of spring.

I believe the real meaning of these lyrics is this - if you take them too seriously you're a gullible idiot.

Coincidently, if you play it backwards it says "Hail Satan, Satan is your master!".

No it doesn't. I followed one of the links provided by GalacticBusDriver and this is what we're supposed to hear if we play the song backwards -

Quote:Oh here’s to my sweet Satan,
The one whose little path,
Would make me sad
Whose power is Satan
He’ll give those with him 666
There was a little tool shed,
Where he made us suffer, sad Satan

Is that where Jesus kept his tools when he was a carpenter? Tongue

That's where they used to keep the young Jesus.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

Yep, and when they grew up, they all followed him around wherever he went!

This is from an enchanting tune, and one of the most popular songs ever played.
Every witch and every warlock knows what it means.
Do you?

Why do you even care?!?

Please state your full intentions for being here.

What?! Why the hell should he do that?! He doesn't owe you
An explanation and has no need to justify his presence here to you or anyone! Dodgy
