So harsh, MA may be trying to explain how he teases meaning and usefulness out of a book that is largely allegorical or metaphorical in his estimation. Similar to the way that some might interpret certain passages of the bible for a more "new agey" - personally empowering sort of message.
-and MA, I'd like to see you elaborate some more on that spirit math.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Nothing weird. . it is the same what Siddharta or anyone else did. . they eliminate the "1" in their heart
The less "1" they have in their heart , the more "wisdom" they are . . Less fears, worries, depressions , and the more closer to the reality etc. . . If they are scientist, they will be the best scientist when their emotions match with proper motivation. . If they are mathematician, they will be the best mathematician. . Too many "1s", then they have too many Gods inside their heart , thus. . more fears, worries and depressions etc. They may look successful, but they cause corruption and take additional burdens to their heart Therefore, the rule is quite simple, and it doesn't matter what books or religions they are. The main premise is, "No God". 2 + 1 = 3, therefore I am a demigod.
17 + 8 = 25, therefore I am the Pujah of Baloop. 9 + 9 = 18, therefore I am King Of The Land Of The Knee-Walking Turkeys. 6 x 9 = 42, therefore there is a cock-up in the programming. Honestly, MA, you're not doing badly. Religious musing and recreational drugs have a long and sacred tradition. Keep on. Boru

We're all gods.
But, there is no god. I'm calling poe on this one. No one can really be that obtuse. RE: I am God

I think you may be losing something in translation. MA, not to pry, but would you by chance be from Malaysia, or have family ties (or any of the surrounding similarities)? I only ask because of the confluence of buddhism and islam I'm getting out of your threads.
I'm gonna take a stab at this. There is no god(little g, the names and stories people give the title) - because we are all God (Big G, the collective godhead). There can't be a God and gods - because ultimately any little g god is part of the larger whole, Big G. The only thing standing between ourselves and the godhead is the construct of self. If we remove it, we will experience wholeness. Not that any of this is a little g god in context - but, in your islam, for example - submitting ones self to the will of allah is self sacrifice, a path to enlightenment. Not a path to Allah(little g god), but a path to Big G God. ?

Allah is absolute reality and everything is a manifestation of absolute reality. Absolute reality cannot be understood by the intellect but humans can experience it if they don't identify with the ego which believes that everything is separate from absolute reality. God is just a label but humans have a habit of attaching ideas to the label and believing their ideas are what absolute reality is. They then worship their ideas. I came across an interesting - Neil deGrasse Tyson Quote. Quote:We are part of this universe; we are in this universe, but perhaps more important than both of those facts, is that the universe is in us. Science cannot prove or disprove if absolute reality lies beyond the physical universe, of course. Where are the snake and mushroom smilies?
