Stopped by Mormoms

RE: Stopped by Mormoms
You know, I've never had Mormons try to convert me. Jehovah's Witness, yes. But Mormons? There ain't no Mooohmuhn's in my neck of the woods!

That is until I moved to Little Rock. There are Mormons here. But they still haven't tried to convert me.
I kinda feel left out. Sad

But when the Jehovah's Witness have tried, they end up finding there's nothing they can teach be about the Bible. I was raised on that book. So, unlike the usual angry unbeliever they expect to find, they find a young, hansom (if he does say so himself), polite man well versed in Biblical matters. I'll smile, talk to them for a while, and then they'll leave. Next time I plan to invite them in for tea. Tell them I'd love to do a Bible study with them (they love Bible studies), as long as they're willing to hear some differing opinions about what various passages mean.

Jehovah Witnesses came to my door a few months ago. I would have talked to them but my girlfriend stepped in front of me, said "No, no, no," and shut the door.

When I lived at home, I had to make sure it was me that talked to the JW and not my mother. She would often get pretty rude with them. Illogically so.

I answered a pair of women JW's on my boxer shorts when I was younger. They made an 180 degree rotation and left in a hurry without trying their usual rethoric. WTF? don't they go to the beach or something? Plenty of men in shorts there.

I get the same reaction, along with being dragged away from street preachers.

I've got the same thing when I'm with friends and we see people prosletyzing.

Me: "Oooooh, street preaching chew toy!"

Friends, "For fuck sake, Beccs! NO!"
