The irony is that each person listening to him will think s/he is one of the three hundred. If they were all to meet together at a stadium, they might either realize how ridiculous they are being or they would fight over who belongs in the divine three hundred.

Why does god need money? He could just give all of his followers everything they need.
I wonder if they're trained to talk in that smooth seductive masculine voice, or if god gives them that talent when they're anointed...   RE: It's 4am. Am I one of the 300?

The original (that I'm aware of) was Populous - you played as a deity and could help your own people, harm the opposing deity's people, or... whatever the fuck you wanted. Dropping a volcano on your opponent = great fun. Or a flood. Or hell, do it to your own people - you're a god, after all. Because when shown the evidence the victims will insist that they were not taken advantage of and there was no fraud. How can you prosecute a criminal if the victim denies there was a crime. It'd be like trying to convict someone of theft with the store owner on the stands insisting that he gave them the shoes as a gift.
