God's injustice towards Adam and Eve

You grew up in Africa? My friends just got back from there, perhaps you saw them building the water sanitation system while they were there, or perhaps you saw last year’s group building the school they built? You are thin-skinned and conveniently give nothing to support your accusations, how very atheist of you.

How are any of my statements concerning your view of reality inaccurate? You keep asserting that they are but you have given no reason for me to actually alter any of them.

To a decent person, someone telling you that you are incorrect in your description of what they believe should be sufficient for you to drop the matter. Requiring proof insinsuates that your interlocutor is lying, AND that you know better than they do what they think.

Finding that kind of condescension and lack of empathy infuriating isn't limited to atheists.

That's inane. Why do you think we would believe that our beliefs don't match those of groups which are largely in agreement with us?

Does your vast experience with atheists include spending a lot of time with atheists who represent the bulk of atheists globally, that is, those who live in Asia? Or does most of your experience of atheist diversity come from frequenting English-speaking atheist forums?

He's told you you're wrong about what he thinks. Unless you're a mind reader, you have no justification to dispute that due to his membership in a demographic that you think you know well enough that the stereotypes of us in your mind override the statements of actual individuals. Would you presume to know Jews so well that you'd insist that an individual Jew demonstrate to you that her views are divergent from what you think Jews think?

That the magnitude of the authority defied affects the magnitude of the crime and therefore the magnitude of the punishment is mere assertion, justified only by a desire to reconcile the apparent injustice of having someone tortured forever for not picking the right religion. By your logic, fascist states are justified in delivering harsher punishments for crimes that would be punished more mildly in democracies. It's justice for the punishment to fit the crime, the punishment being wildly disproportionate is pretty much the definition of injustice, and you can't overcome that by just saying 'no it's not'.

Oh wait.

For a minute there I thought you were describing the atheistic regimes of the 20th Century. Just think how horrible Africa would be without Christianity. At least one atheist gets it, it just so happens that he actually spent most of his life there and knows what he's talking about.

I suppose if you define 'knows what he's talking about' as 'agrees with me'.

The combination of Pentecostalism, the witch doctor, and the machete is nothing to brag about. Humanism has all of the advantages and none of the superstitious baggage.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.
