Christian Eschatology

So having been told by at least a few of us that Revelation is not a work of fortune telling and that it concerns contemporary events for its author and audience (a commonplace view among scholars), you decide to double down with the claim that it is a prophecy concerning some future dictator/Anti-Christ and WWIII. Are you going to at least try to justify this view, or are you content to allow your assertion to be disregarded without a fight?

So, in essence, you invited yourself into our foyer and took a big shit with the promise that you'll leave without cleaning it up. Your shitbag god must be very proud.

'And John S did enter him unto to Forum, yea, even unto the foyer thereof, where he did droppeth trow and squatted him down. And when he rose up, lo! there was in his place a coiler of magnificent proportions, and it did stinketh unto Heaven, and the Lord smiled.'

To the OP, I have a question, what is the difference between a liberal Christian and a 'regular' Christian? I'm interested in knowing. And I prefer hearing your explanation instead of just searching on google, because the internet is full of lies

And you skipped over the bit where John states quite clearly that the events described would happen in the lifetimes of his audience.

Somehow I don't think enough people here will remember. It's just one more insane Revelations theory. They are a dime a dozen. That's the problem with Revelations.

So basically, you came here to spout your opinion, knowing in advance that we would find the reasoning behind it shaky at best, but instead of examining your beliefs first, you opt to just lay them out while fleeing from accountability for your own specious nonsense at the same time, all for the smug glow of being able to say "I told you so," if they come true, while contriving to avoid being called on being wrong if you are. The vast majority of "regular" Christians are conservatives. THEY are the people that you are probably most familiar with - the bigoted, "Holier Than Thou" - "better than everyone else" people.
The few liberals that there are, are less judgmental towards others. I don't claim that atheists are going to Hell. I can't even say where my soul will go. Since it is my assumption that God makes everyone, including homosexuals, I don't go around screaming that they will be going to Hell - or women who have had abortions.
According to His teachings, Jesus Christ was/is a liberal - but the conservatives refuse to believe it. His attitude towards atheists, Muslims, Jews, women who have had abortions, etc., would be much more lenient than it is by these conservatives. It is also my belief that the phrase "conservative Christian" is an oxymoron. A person is either a conservative or he is a Christian. It is IMPOSSIBLE to be both.
I don't expect you to agree with anything that I have said - but you did ask.

To another poster who said that it was unlikely that he was going to remember anything that I have written, it is amazing how much the brain retains, even when we don't want it to.

Odd how everyone wants to claim Jesus as one of their own, innit? For a liberal, I find it funny that Jesus exhibited all the signs of a xenophobic, intolerant bigot. Essentially, he seemed to feel that only Jews were actually 'people' and that those Jews who liked him were the best class of people.

Given the scriptural evidence of Jesus' overall paranoia, megalomania, hatred of foreigners, and funny ideas about economics, I'd say that it isn't only possible to be a conservative as well as a Christian, I'd call it a requirement.

RE: Christian Eschatology
Christian eschatology as I have studied it is the study of living as if heaven was already present on Earth. It's living in God's kingdom in the present.
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.
