Forgive me, I know the benedictines but I didn't associate the word because english is not my first language, we say 'Beneditinos', I failed to recognize the meaning.

Am I right in assuming you accept the theory of evolution?

Do I accept the theory of evolution? I think there's much yet to uncover, but, yes, if you mean generally then yes. I perhaps lean a little towards a deist view of creation; that the destiny was present in the 'beginning'; that the starting conditions of the universe (or universes) were such that life would arise, intelligent life even. And from my perspective I would say that it was possible that it was inevitable that God-seeking and God-sensing life would arise. But I trust science to progressively reveal the mechanics of evolution.

Yes. And he bore an uncanny resemblance to John Travolta.

Diablo. Indeed there was (is?) an angel called Michael. He was/is your nemesis, you being Diablo.

Blackout. Most Benedicitnes are Catholic, though some are Anglican. The Benedictines are the most common type of monk. It dates from the early 6th century. It was a time of turmoil and war across Europe, but Benedictine communities stood out as islands of peace and order. They flourished and attracted people from all walks of life. What marks out Benedictine spirituality is the dedication to work and prayer in balance. It's not at all preachy. Monasteries have lay people, like me, associated with them. We are called 'oblates', and we too seek that balance of prayer and work in our lives. Our commitment is to a life of regular prayer in balance with our work.

A very warm welcome to you Michael. You should make a a very interesting addition to the forum (not intended to sound snarky--it's hard to get the voice right in print).
