My wife calls them "old lady" flowers (and she should know). And yeah, I'm a garden nerd like that. However, I wouldn't grow them in my own garden. The foliage and stems look like something you trim off of produce and discard without a second thought. We're staying over night in Fort Bragg just north of the Mendocino Coast Botanical garden. Late summer is Dahlia season and they have quite a large collection. Since flowers are a plant's sex organs perhaps I should put the rest under a hide tag. This one is too good to keep under hide tags. Oh shit, just realized it was supposed to be music. Doh!
Well, I don't feel guilty for liking the stuff I like, but it sure gets some arched eyebrows from folks sometimes ... ELO, Anita Baker, "Be Near Me" from ABC back in 1985 or so ... but I liked it 'cause it was goddamned good.
I liked Electric Light Orchestra too.
Mostly listen to rock. Love Zeppelin,Nirvana and Alice in Chains. Sting and Meat Loaf would be guilty pleasures. Still can't deny that I listen to both quite a bit.

I don't really like admitting it but I do quite like Phil Collins' music.
This Genesis song seems quite an appropriate song to post, even if it's not strictly Phil. http://youtube.com/watch?v=EprQGmZ3Imw |
