Thanks for the thoughts, I always thought significant life would effect the psychology of the earth in terms of forward thinking (I am giving humans more credit.). However, I think religions whom will not adapt would not accept it.
In another a more humorous note. Humans will always ask the three basic questions pertaining to alien life.
1. Can we kill it.
2. Can we eat it.
3. Can we fuck it.
I would be a televangelist....but I have too much of a soul.

One thing however, is it a rather odd assumption to assume that the "aliens" will not have a religion or philosophy of some kind?
