Many eye witnesses have seen what the Orks have done. Frodo for one.

They've even made movies about it.

I did provide the better proofs, therefore you must accept that god does not exist.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

I am glad you can't provide evidence like we have of the 27 books of the NT so the Bible holds the highest of standards and you can't think of better evidence.

The originals.

Actually we don't have the originals for anyone in antiquity so you can't ask for a higher standard than what history already provides.

But the 27 books of the NT are the closest to their events than for anyone in antiquity.

Are you saying the books of the NT are the documents that were written closest to the time of Jesus? Most estimates put the earliest written NT book at around 50CE, so by your logic there are no historical documents written between 20BCE and 50CE.

Also, the Quran is said to be written in the most perfect arabic known to man - I'd say those are pretty high standards. Does that make it true? No.

Why would you think the NT was written a decade or two later?

And yes, we have no sources as close to their events as we do for the NT events.

Again, we have no sources closer to their events than we do for the Bible's events.

The Books of Tolkien and the movies made there of are of an equivalent level of evidence as to what you are presenting.

Tokien admits his fictional writings, but there is no air of such in the 27 books of the NT.

Quote:The Bible is filled with discrepancies, many of them irreconcilable
contradictions. Moses did not write the Pentateuch (the first five books of the Old Testament) and Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John did not write the Gospels. There are other books that did not make it into the Bible that at one time or another were considered canonical—other Gospels, for example, allegedly written by Jesus’ followers Peter, Thomas, and Mary. The Exodus probably did not happen as described in the Old Testament. The conquest of the 6 j e s u s , i n t e r r u p t e d
Promised Land is probably based on legend. The Gospels are at odds
on numerous points and contain nonhistorical material. It is hard
to know whether Moses ever existed and what, exactly, the historical
Jesus taught. The historical narratives of the Old Testament are
filled with legendary fabrications and the book of Acts in the New
Testament contains historically unreliable information about the
life and teachings of Paul. Many of the books of the New Testament
are pseudonymous—written not by the apostles but by later writers
claiming to be apostles.
