The idea is intriguing, for sure. I think I have a certain level of (undiagnosed) social anxiety. I like larger groups, of at least maybe 8. Truth be told, most of my social interaction is at events, not just kibbutzing over pizza and craft beers. Heading to two soccer matches this weekend and a Padres game (organ transplant fundraiser) on Monday.
TBH, I'm very intrigued by the idea of meeting people in person, but what if the behind-screen mystery is better than the reality?
I dunno. It's something to consider. I was very gung ho about the idea last time it was floated. But it deteriorated due to logistics.

I live in Gosport UK and am willing to meet people, but travel time is an issue.

ETA: Don't you people travel? I'm hearing waaaaaaay too much "well, I can't meet anyone because I live too far away." Next year I'm hoping to visit both Iceland and Turkey; I won't be hitting up Mehmet though :p
