Saw The Red Hot Chilli Pipers last night at a small venue. Fucking fun as hell. I wasn't quite sure what to expect from 'Bagrock', but I loved it. Great musicians and consumate showmen all. I now wish I could have seen them with more stage to work with.

Any pink floyd concert with the original members.

Also Deadmau5 a few years ago was awesome, just saw Hardwell in Chicago a week ago. In case anyone was wondering Hardwell was amazing too.

I hope to see Datsik in concert some day. And maybe Arctic Monkeys some day... I would have loved to see System of a Down when they were together.
“Love is the only bow on Life’s dark cloud. It is the morning and the evening star. It shines upon the babe, and sheds its radiance on the quiet tomb. It is the mother of art, inspirer of poet, patriot and philosopher.

It is the air and light of every heart – builder of every home, kindler of every fire on every hearth. It was the first to dream of immortality. It fills the world with melody – for music is the voice of love.

Love is the magician, the enchanter, that changes worthless things to Joy, and makes royal kings and queens of common clay. It is the perfume of that wondrous flower, the heart, and without that sacred passion, that divine swoon, we are less than beasts; but with it, earth is heaven, and we are gods.” - Robert. G. Ingersoll

I've mentioned before, even in this thread, that if the band that did the music for Silent Hill were to play a concert, I'd go the minute I knew about it. As it turns out, they are actually performing live:

Alas, they seem to be understaffed at the moment. I don't think the Power Trio Plus Singer format does the music justice. Especially on "Theme For Laura." They'll need at least another (rhythm) guitarist before they're ready for primetime. And where's the Dog Ending song?

I just hope Akira Yamaoka rectifies this in the future.

"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

I'd love to have seen Jimi and the Who close Monterrey Pop in 1967 -- I've seen film of both those sets and they slayed. To be there in person? Fuggedaboudit.

I'd love to have seen Sabbath around 1971 or so. Great songs, no bullshit, just getting up onstage and killing it.

I'm lucky enough to have seen Steely Dan, Rush, and Alice in Chains, though, so I won't get greedy.

The Doors at the Whiskey a go go club, where they had their first gigs.

All the other idols of my youth I have seen in real concerts: Pinky Floyd, The Stones, The Who, even Blood Sweat and Tears.

A Beatles concert is out of the question, since they were all shriek fests.
