Woodstock or the Monterey Pop Festival. I grew up in the 70's when even a small venue like the Civic Center here in Huntsville had a dozen or so rock concerts every year. I probably attended 50 or 60 shows through the early 80's starting with The Guess Who in 72. The list of bands I saw back then starts with AC/DC and ends with ZZ Top, but I had to wait until later to see The Dead, Stones and Floyd. I wish I had caught The Beatles and Hendrix.

Uh, difficult! Many good ones are already mentioned. Zeppelin and Sabbath in the 70s for example, Hendrix... I'll add

- the scandalous premiere of The Rites of Spring

- Death, with Chuck still alive, maybe some of the later, proggier material

I would love to go see anything at Copley Hall (SD Symphony) and Carnegie Hall (Handels Messiah). Not religious anymore but Christmas music gets me jazzed.
