I'm still kinda in between... I was raised Lutheran and learned my faith from Evangelicals. I'm taking RCIA classes... I will probably join the Catholic church. I'm in between theologies, I believe in the Protestant ideas of us being saved by grace alone, but I love the mass, the ligurgy, and the beautiful chants surrounding the (better) Catholic traditions. (I won't mention the others here, but... eck, every group has it's share of hypocrites.) My spiritual history is a complicated story, I guess I could summarize it by saying that I believe God has spoken to me multiple times and He's guided me a lot over the past few years.

If that's too preach-y for this forum let me know Wink

As for the libertarian thing... I think it requires a truly unbiased government to work... as long as lobbying exists, the libertarian view is crap, as government ends up catering for the interests of a few companies and all other can screw themselves. Monopoly, baby!
That's enough politics for one post.

Otherwise, enjoy your time around here, see you around!
Thank you for the welcome! Smile

As in... show you me singing a song? I have been planning to record one within the month but I don't have the technology figured out yet... Or are you, like, asking what my favorite song is?

I really like the idea of a constitution to keep the government in check. The US constitution is good, I might prefer a stricter one (or at least removal of a few clauses such as the commerce clause) but yea, that's the best defence because the government can only cater so much. I don't think there's such thing as a truly unbiased government. If there's anything history makes obvious, it's that humans are biased.

Thanks again, I am enjoying this forum already Big Grin

Emotes are cool.

Not too preachy at all.

You should see some of the posts from other Christians who have been here in the past.

Really good to encounter a down to Earth Christian online.

My idea was that, if you sing, then show us yourself singing... it can just be voice, if you're shy like Losty. (wink to the accent tag thread! Wink )
But there's also some thread for favorite songs, so you can go there.
We have a thread for everything... and if you find one missing, make it!

Oh, crap... I'm delving into international politics... damn.
A constitution is nice, but it can be amended if the government sees fit... It just takes a bit more work... or more lobbying.

Good to see despite your nationality you're using a measurement system that actually makes sense. I hope you also measure temperature in Kelvin, or at the very least Celsius? I'll block you if you say Fahrenheit. Don't think I won't do it.

Just under a quarter of a litre isn't really an obscene amount. It's about 1 cup.

This is what I get when I don't do the conversion. I typically drink closer to 3-5 cups a day.

Sejanus and Surgenator, that was a math joke. Big Grin

I measure temperature in Farenheight when I'm talking to people I don't want to confuse. I measure it in Kelvin when I want to confuse people. It's fun.

And thanks to all the other posters who have welcomed me Smile
