White guilt

I don't feel white guilt by other people's actions - Do you think black people should feel guilty for black criminals? I don't think so. I judge people based on their actions and not because of their race, even if we're talking about a white supremacist.

It's ok if you like being white, and it's ok to think white people treated other races badly, but not as much as you'd feel shameful for it.

There's nothing to be guilty about, white people have just been very good at colonizing and conquering.

White people aren't the only ones, just the most recent.

I don't think I care at all, and I'm kinda surprised I cared enough to respond to this thread. Whites, just like everyone else, have done terrible terrible things throughout history, but that had nothing to do with me so why should I feel guilty? That doesn't mean I'm not proud either. I simply exist.

Since the issue has been raised:

Even Jesse Jackson said a few years ago, “There is nothing more painful to me … than to walk down the street and hear footsteps and start thinking about robbery, then look around and see somebody white and feel relieved.”


Maybe we are just talking about an innate trait of everyone ?
