Yes. I consider male and female to be a genetic thing. XY=male, XX=female. Females tend to be the ones born with vaginas and males the one's born with penises.

I consider it a different thing to identity. But I don't consider it to in anyway demean the identity aspect. What people identify themselves as can be a very complicated (and important of course) thing.

/sigh... once again: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intersex

Wiki Wrote:In addition to the most common XX and XY chromosomal sexes, there are quite a few other possible combinations such as Turner syndrome (XO), Triple X syndrome (XXX), Klinefelter syndrome (XXY), XYY syndrome (XYY), XX male, Swyer syndrome (XY female), and there are many other individuals who do not follow the typical patterns (such as individuals with four or even more sex chromosomes).

Sex is far from a simple 2 way split... whilst this is typical: the rarer genotypes are completely natural. This may or may not be a 'good' thing... but sex is far from a 2 way split. This is entirely genetic.. that it is not typical does not mean it is any less genetic.

Research does show that repeated exposure to porn is not only addictive (lessening effective living behaviours), but also can effectively reduce real life sexual arousal through desensitisation.

I think that depends on the porn.

I can watch very violent images on the TV any day of the week, but I cant see things that I can legally do with my wife. Where is the sense in that.

Graphic sensitive lovemaking between consenting adults would not, I think be damaging to view.

But violent non-consential damaging fucking could give people prone to that behaviour a nudge in the wrong direction.

To point out that porn is bad for you, and we should come to terms with what it does to our sexuality and relationships with each other. Isn't this really getting old? Seriously though, there are few things worse than porn. It's worse than TV and video games put together! It is about objectification, and desensitization, and dominance, and some of the grossness already gone over previously in this thread.

We should have quiet, polite sex when no one is looking, and then not discuss it afterward...

Quiet, polite sex???????

WTF is that?

It's all about excitement. When you watch porn you can watch more graphic scenarios than you can realistically achieve in your own bedroom. This is meant to make the real thing less exciting for the brain, less stimulating, since, as certain parts of the brain can't distinguish between fantasy and reality (such as the id and the subconscious as Freud outlined) so the brain will opt for the action which it finds more rewarding.

I tell you one thing, actually tying a chick up is much more exciting than just watching it being done. Yes Leo, THIS I speak about from personal experience.

Rhiz, you are not alone....LOLOLOL

One of my ex's many a millennium ago...Loved to be tied up in every other type of way...At first, I thought it was for my excitement of some sort of why she was always asking it...Then later realized it was actually for her......

Great girl, great experiences together, but in the end, we went our separate ways......

I once handcuffed my girl, wrapped my belt around the cuffs and closed the buckle outside the bedroom window. Her hands were partially suspended and I could wrangle her legs any way I wanted. She trembled furiously haha Big Grin

@ Sae

Oh sorry Sae, I never clicked the links before because I thought you were arguing that sex wasn't genetic and that's how I understood the definition. I had no idea of the existence of other genetic combinations other than the 'XX' and 'XY' for humans....

I consider that still to be a genetic matter of course?

Anyway, I consider that if it's not genetic it's environmental and I don't see how it could be environmental?
