I fell off an indoor rock wall about five feet from the top and I never want to do that again.
Except when I purposefully jump off shit while attached to a bungee...
Also, meow.

Nice pics. I used to climb a bit, up until I turned 30 or so. After that I stuck to alpine climbing.
Regarding falling, yeah it's pretty common when you're roped. Climbing sans rope? Don't fall. I can recall vividly the first time I caught my buddy on a lead fall when he was way to far above his last pro. Scary, for both of us - but he didn't crater. Completely different experience from a top-rope fall.

I value my hands too much for that kind of thing. My eyes may be crap, but my hands are fine.

I think I remember you saying that. You should come out to Smith Rock sometime and get back into it, start easy.

That's awesome, CA.
I do a lot of indoor climbing (or used to, not so much since I had surgery on my stomach) and it's probably the best sport/workout there is. Don't do so much outdoor climbing on account of living somewhere where there isn't anywhere to do it, though there are some amazing spots around the UK for it.

That's sweet, another rock climber on the board. I say if you own a pair of climbing shoes, you are a rock climber. I've heard the UK has awesome/scary climbing in it. I'm thinking of doing a cross Europe trip this next year. Spain, France, Greece, Turkey, Italy. That sort of thing.

You know, I'm in Yosemite right now, but I might go up to Oregon sometime soon. Maybe we could hike up Mt. Hood or something.
