This has to be my favourite moment from the show:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4sqBYziYBAs

I remember watching the entire season over one summer vacation. Shortly after finishing Season 4, and getting used to Col. Potter, I found that I couldn't watch Maclean Stevenson's Henry Blake without wondering how the Hell he even got to such a high position in the army.

However, there's one line from the Season Six premiere that resonates with me because I can't help but imagine myself in this position:
Quote:He was involved in an incident here in Seoul. And our report says that while drunk, he accosted a blonde WAC. Kept calling her Margaret. Acted like he was shampooing her hair. And then begged to clip her toenails. Ran off before we could apprehend him.
Really not helped by the fact that the closest I've ever come to being in a relationship is with a girl named Maggie, but it didn't work out because she turned out to be gay.

I think I lost my train of thought here.

I think Hawkeye said something like, "I will tend their wounds, I will bind their wounds, I will heal their wounds, but I will NOT inflict their wounds"

Great line.

I loved that show when I was a kid - still do, really.

I recall the episode where the news of Col. Blake's demise was delivered - that was one of the first seeds of the absurdity of war planted in my young mind. That episode still can bring me to tears.

One character everyone loves in that show that I look back on now, only from a claims standpoint, is Radar, I hate now. Don't get me wrong, I am a sensitive guy myself and was especially so when I was a kid/teen. I am talking about his "ability" to seemingly "know" when things happen as if he could read minds. I hate superstitious bullshit like that.

But I did like his character as far as having more fucking sense than Frank and certainly his compassion.

Holly shit I forgot about that scene. It makes more sense that the military would repeat the same food. But in reality my mom's retirement home does the same fucking shit. We are talking about multi millionaire owners if not billionaires. They even do that stupid Catholic fish Friday.

Having said that, I don't take it out on a person just trying to do their job. Still a funny scene though.

FUCKING QUOTE FUNCTION!
