The Newly Departed thread: announcements (departures)

I only kudos people to get them to LOVE ME. They all must LOVE ME.

Do I need to select "report" to get a response? hehehehehehehe

Sorry. I have a hard time taking drama on the internet seriously. For me it tends to just become cannon fodder.

Oh yeah... that's that new thing I never remember exists! Smile
Not that I report much, anyway... (that means you guys are doing a great job and I barely ever see anything worth reporting)

But that's not what I meant... I know only one person can report a particular post.
What I meant was that when confronted with different reports (or those new threads), made by different people, concerning the same member, or the same sort of behavior that is not contemplated in the rules, it may be a good idea to look into it - not through the eyes of the existing rules, but as a potential seed to a new rule.

As long as it's applied lovingly, with minimal twisting, I don't care.

I'm afraid it doesn't work that way. At all.

I know and I agree I think I've said as much. I never mind people complaining about rules, staff, other members, or any change they think should happen on AF. Even if it's not done constructively it can be used constructively. But use the avenues in place already to do that. If that means making a private thread to us awesome. If that means making a public thread complaining about it fine. If that means taking it to CIJS or how are you feeling or peanut gallery threads cool. But that's not what the report system is for. And that red bar makes me twitchy.

Anyhow, I've been campaigning to fix what I perceive as holes in the rules that allow for harassment and breaches of privacy. I've been blocked, citing "free speech" as the reason. I cannot stomach this. Free speech should not extend to invading privacy and protecting harassment. I don't feel I've been properly listened to, quite honestly. But I tried my absolute best.

I might be to blame for that miscommunication.

That's from your post announcing you were leaving. I'm sorry if I read into this. Just got curious.

I don't wanna be considered irrational. I want to be considered ultra-rational to such a high degree that I am shamelessly hyperactively irrepressibly seemingly irrational and it's not because I'm irrational it's because I'm not irrationally hiding my irrationally like most folks inadvertently do Big Grin

Like... pretending not to be biased wouldn't be impartial of me... it would be irrationally in denial. Admitting my biases is step 1 of being rational. Step 2 would in theory be to eradicate my biases but I don't believe that's possible in practice and pretending it is and trying to change the biases I cannot change is more irrational than acknowledging it and rubbing it in everyone's faces provided that they enjoy it or at least don't tell me to fuck off or that I'm bothering them.

That has got to be one of the longest run on sentences I've ever read.

O.o

Thanks Big Grin
