Rob, you are awesome and we got your back.
My immediate internal response to Dripshit's original post was "what the literal fuck!?" Common human decency demands that a person not use that term flippantly. I knew that was going to cause some commotion. (I also knew Dripshit would backtrack immediately.)
What was most telling was his constant repetition of exchanging "Ex-Catholic" for "Catholic schoolgirl." That enraged me.
But really---more than any of his moronic and trollish behavior---what bugs me about Dripshit more than anything is his 3rd grade comprehension of the English language.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

I just took it as normal ribbing. The current explanation that it was his way of trying to bring such creepy behavior to anyone's attention in the hopes of saving some young child from a predator is just bizarre. I didn't get the impression that Rob was asking us for that person's home address, as much as he was wondering why she was no longer active on the forum. I did get a chuckle out of his turning "the 13-year old ex-catholic" into "13-year-old catholic schoolgirl." I figure that after a few trips through the rumor mill, the story will be how rob was asking about "the 13-year old catholic schoolgirl with the pigtails and creamy white skin."
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

Dripshit is oblivious to context as well. It wasn't as if Rob asked "what happened to Roxy" out of the blue. SnakeOil asked what happened to CindysRain two posts earlier.
