I'm not sure what the board software allows but some boards have a provision for "Mod Preview" in which newbies have to have their posts approved before they show up. Wouldn't it be easier to stop them before they ever get on the site rather than have to run around cleaning up their shit afterwards?
Hell, you might even be able to knock a few of the shit and run theists!

There are probably a few of us around who remember what happened to the forums at Connecticut Valley Atheists. Basically, the spammers won. Wore the mods down to the point where they all quit.

Yeah, I remember CVA and the spam flood. Not pretty. At least the present system gives me something (else) to do with my hands.
