This is better than I'd hope for. This can also be the lounge where staff can hang out and talk smack about each other when they're not off putting out a fire.
The kind of believing engaged in by most Christians we meet is not neutral, truth seeking believing. It isn't acceptance of the best supported conclusion, not submission to the facts. "True believers" believe heroically, they launch their belief at their chosen target with enthusiasm. While thrusting their belief forward they will brook no but-what-if's. Facts which do not conform are not recognized. 'True' belief is drunk with celebrating certainty, no further quest is required .. only the constant parrying with nay sayers.

Maybe we should run just for mod contests at the end of the year. Besides the positive awards we could have one for: biggest dick (take that any way you like); total bitch award; and, of course, the pants on fire award which would go to Poet.

Now, is there another layer of the forum, above the moderators, for a truly elite group to gather and plot strategy ??

Or eat cheese sammiches all day . . . .

I'll bring the chips and Newman's Own salsa. Damn, that stuff's good!

That's discriminatory. Over here, we give two penn'orth (aka pennyworth - yes, just like Alfred). According to the currency conversion site xe.com, 2 cents equals 1.2 pence. Meaning that at as an Englishman, my opinion counts for little more than half an American one.

At least I get a peanut out of the deal.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'
