Ultimately the main factor was her moving goalposts and all her posts being in that one thread. Usually people who want to discuss stuff properly don’t do that. Admittedly it took us a while, hopefully we’ll be quicker in the future.
Not saying that you can’t sign up and post in only one thread, btw, but we’d obviously appreciate it if you enjoy the many other threads the community has to offer!

Tibs, there's always 2 sides to the story.
She won all arguments, we cracked the shits that she proved God to us with her robust logic, and we banned her because we're angry!

She was another fucking jerk with a bible. Now we have a few examples of people around here who can do that without getting banned so she was singularly inept at it.

I want to ask the members a question. Maybe for the suggestion box.
If a topic by a theist is still born, like "DNA Proves Existence of a Designer", and many, many others, how do we proceed?
Do we let it proceed for eons for our entertainment, which can only result in personal attacks after a while when posters get frustrated and bored?
Do we euthanize it early? Do we have a minimum requirement of science knowledge for posters?
How to avoid in future?
How do you prove to an indoctrinated person that they're talking shite because of their indoctrination?
No God, No fear.

I think the best way to let something die here that you don't want to see is to ignore it. At least one person complaining who has left permanently did so because we over-moderated with the click-bait rule. Others leave because we don't ban trolls fast enough, which is really fucking hard to do because of Poe's Law. My advice to anyone who is frustrated by a thread or user is to ignore them. If everyone collectively ignores something, it doesn't become the landscape of the forum. It's just background noise.
In short, we can't police everything. There's a lot users can do themselves that some don't. (Shout out to those of you who either participate in that kind of shit ironically or just ignore it. You're my MVPs.)

Wouldn't that be her excuse no matter what ?

I’ve had a taste of the troll blood, and I’m hungry for moar...
