RE: Science presuppositions as being grounded on faith

One gets a sense of desperation on the part of theists who resort to any and all rhetorical devices in an attempt to have you believe that God is as "real" as the keyboard these words are typed on. Once they can convince me of the sensibility of that, I'll politely ask them to produce the 100 million dollars that I'm currently imagining must lie buried somewhere nearby.

I'm actually fine with the idea that science is based on faith or some fundemental assumption, like bennyboy said, as long as we get results. I would go further and say religion is not based on faith, but unfounded imagination with no results. Somehow, saying religion is based on faith gives it more credit where it's not due, as if to take it seriously.
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:
"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay."
For context, this is the previous verse:
"Hi Jesus" -robvalue

Meh. I'm much more inclined to trust the set of presuppositions that sent men to the moon, connected the world like never before in human history, and eradicated previously lethal illnesses, than I am willing to trust the presuppositions that still have their adherents practicing the same old ancient rituals that have never worked in the past, and still don't work today.
If a theist is really that desperate to drag science down to the level of religion, if they're really that in love with the tu cuoque fallacy, then it's fairly easy to elevate science once again simply by comparing results.
