The bolded part, that is a positive, good thing.
So if that's how he wants to describe Satanism, then yes, I have no problem being lumped in with it.

Religion: Noun: an ingenious device to take moral decisions without personal responsability.

Satanism is a religion and atheism isn't. Christianity is a religion and theism isn't. Your pastor fails English. And it's pretty sad that your pastor can't discern what is a religion and what isn't...hard to believe that's what he really, sincerely believes. Sounds more like a cheap rhetorical device to control what you think.

I love how "taking personal responsibility for your actions" is trying to be depicted as something bad, being associated with atheism and satanism.

So if he's too educated and intelligent to be factually wrong on this matter, he must be deliberately lying.

Christian, please honestly say, are you seriously asking this or just trolling?

The OP's question has this obvious troll smell.

This "my pastor said...." was already a topic in some old "Atheist Experice" show. So it's either a standard religious douche argument from the "How do I look stupid?" christian handbook or it's simply trolling and baiting.

Doubly hilarious because the christian reason for why atheists don't believe, that often follows this kind of "atheists is satanists!" rhetoric, is that we just don't want to take personal responsibility for our sins.

My Pastor's got a Masters in Theology. Razz

Which apparently is about as useful as tits on a snake.

When it comes to what atheism is and isn't, your pastor is a fucking ignorant cunt.
