I bought this game recently, and I really like it. It's a turn based JRPG that's pretty dialogue heavy, but has interesting characters, story, and all that. About the only complaint I has was the camera angle, but once you figure out how to move it around on your own, walking around towns and looking for stuff gets a lot easier.
A funny thing about it is the bad guys are not obviously evil. They usually come off as good people at the start, until you find out more about what they're up to. The two most abrasive people in the game are more or less good guys.
It kind of reminds me of Final Fantasy 7, with preemptive and surprise attacks, a bar that builds up during battle that allows you to use a special move, and magical orbs you equip that allows you to use spells. The surprise attacks can get frustrating, because it means just trying to go around an enemy for whatever reason can get you in worse trouble than if you just engaged every enemy you see.
There are some big sequel hooks for a game that I read is coming out this winter. Likely a Christmas release.
I originally thought that there would be a post game where you go around solving cases as a full fledged bracer, but instead you get a new game + where you keep old stuff and have an option to play a harder difficulty.
