Garden of Eden was a setup...
RE: Garden of Eden was a setup...
I send my son, who is myself, to sacrifice myself, to myself, to get around rules that I made, so I can be a bit less of a douche bag, because I have to go through all that rather than just being less of a douche bag.

It's fucking genius. Doesn't sound at all like the ravings of a mental case.

Did that objectivity thing without a personal relationship with Jesus in college in almost exactly the opposite order that you did it in. I hated the fact that He would be such a meanie and wanted nothing to do with Him.
I did not know Jesus and wanted nothing to do with a God that would place such burdens on His Creation.

Bull. Hockey. What you just posted defies logic. If you "hated the fact that He (with a capital H) would be such a meanie," you already presupposed that bible god exists. Nothing objective about it.

OK, I had some respect for you up until this, since you at least admitted to having some problems with your own rationality in coping with the things the bible throws at you.

First, he's not my president. I only happen to type in english, since it's the board language. Second, you dropped your mask by chiming in on the ultra conservative bullshit, you are fed by your favorite right wing news outlets.

Second, to use your own words an d to point out the absurdity of your claim again - been there already, but it seems to have slipped your mind - is it the son or is it god in the flesh? Can't have it both ways. Either there's the trinity and the tale of sacrifice is nothing but a circus trick, or it's a different being. Then, pal, we're down to politheism.

You assume he's my president by jumping to that easy conclusion.

God the Father is spirit to be worshiped in spirit.
God the Son came to die for my sins (not your not the guy across the street, but mine)
The Holy Spirit is that which dwells in me that makes that personal relationship with God the Father possible.

Not Politheism, but One Triune God
Three components, one God.

Period.

So once again, if god, Jesus and the holy spirity are one, where's the sacrifice and to whom is the sacrifice?

The human truly is an amazing thing if it can convince itself that any of that makes sense, or is the best way to handle business.

3 myths, one God, no sense.

I see you've chosen to ignore the fact that I've claimed I'm looking God right in the eye. Are you the only one who's allowed to make ridiculous claims?

I was under the impression that you were bowed before the Maker and finally came to your senses and admitted that you are a sinner in need of a Saviour.....my mistake

I'm only claiming that I believe the Bible for what it is and that's Gods Word.

Also, I was busy trying to solve a Death Wobble problem on my WJ

I also have a question for you........why is it called "Ovaltine"?
I mean the container is round, the mug is round, why not call it "Roundtine"?
