Optional. Optional imaginary kids to kill, in 18 games. Is that too much to ask? Er, or not to kill. You don't have to kill them just because they are there.
you can in fallout and skyrim and any game that has kids you can just use a mod to enable that.

The only reason they don't allow killing children in games is the fact when gta 3 had school buses and kids there was such a big issue with parents specifically how moms who said get rid of the school buses in kids in the game it went in court you know how things wen't since no kids in the rock star games and for that matter non kill able children in other games.

Yeah. I do understand that it's going to be a needless risk for them, rockstar already push close to the envelope.
I was writing to my MP when they were trying to ban Manhunt 2. The BBFC had no case at all and were just scared because of the false link between a murder and manhunt 1. I called them out on it endlessly and they talked utter shit.
Such a shame that the game was shit when it was finally released, biggest gaming letdown ever for me. I worshipped manhunt 1. Oh well. GTA5 is the nuts.

well its unconstitutional to ban a video game.
the only thing a person can do is bitch and whine to much until a change is made.
they could make 1.1 man hunt the less psychopathic version patch
1.0 same gruesome game down patch.

I want the option to turn kids on/off. It's stupid to just have NO kids anywhere on the map. Then it's up to the player if they want kids present at a all, then up to them again if they want to kill them.
I would recommend... Mods.

Yeah, I play games mainly on consoles so sadly it's hard to mod them. Good suggestion though, cheers.
I couldn't believe they were trying to make a case for banning manhunt 2, they were either saying that people who are 18 still can't play it without being scared to death or copying the violence, or else their rating system is meaningless and kids play everything.
Glad they failed, but they wasted the high court's time with it. That really pissed me off. It only just got through. They've allowed a lot worse games through before and since, so it was obviously just the name that bothered them and it's connection to the first game.
I'm always flummoxed (is that a word?) by the age ratings in England. At 16, you're allowed to have sex, get married and have children. But you're not allowed to watch a film with explicit sex in it, or one where they say cunt a lot. Or buy Manhunt 2, even the watered down version.

most of the games on console can be grabbed on steam for cheap.

Gomenasai It's why I don't play Skyrim on a console anymore... and I put a good 800 hours into console Skyrim.

Yet... Saya no Uta (Song of Saya) walks freely in obscurity. There is nothing frightening about Manhunt 2... only that it was used to attempt change of policy makes it significant.
People are squeamish, and think that other people need to be protected as if they were themselves. So they, should they convince a majority to squeamish be, dictate policy.

Or through piracy for free, if one is pressed. But that's not why people buy consoles... they do not deserve to have content omitted simply for experiencing it as they prefer. But... developers are not perfect, and for policy need they pander.
