Evil thoughts.

Evil thoughts.
Sometimes I get thoughts to do random evil things. For example, my bro just got a new i phone and it occurred to me to break it. I didn't want to break it, but occurred to me to do it. There is other thoughts of this sort that happen to me. They come by and I don't know why.

It's the same with suicidal thoughts. I don't actually want to commit suicide but the thoughts come by.

I have plenty of reasons against these thoughts and reason against them. So if I'm against these thoughts, and they disturb me when I get them such as I feel why am I getting these thoughts...why do I get them? And what can be done about this?

RE: Evil thoughts.
We all have them.

I have a lot of "evil" thoughts and I have a very dark sense of humour.

The important thing is that we don't act on them.

I have them when I'm frustrated.
The fool hath said in his heart, There is a God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

I've often imagined a psychological "snap" and what order I'd kill the inhabitants of the room in.

I'm not an exeedingly violent person, just have a good imagination.

You can have whatever thougths you want. Not acting on the ones you know will be harmful is what makes you a good person.

You get these thoughts, because you're human. Unfortunately, religion plants this seed that being human isn't good enough.

I figure if I come up with something exceptionally depraved, Satan will adopt it for use in HELL.

If at this very moment Joseph Smith is being anally gored with a spinning telephone pole wrapped in barbed wire and embedded with broken glass, he may well curse me.

The whole concept of hell always seemed confusing to me. If Satan is evil, wouldn't he celebrate the fact that you are evil too? Why would he punish all the evil souls showing up into his domain?

I never believed in hell, even when I was a practicing Christian.

I think the bible leans more towards Satan being tormented in hell as much as anyone. It was probably Dante that came up with the idea of satan tormenting people in hell, and probably only because he didn't like the idea of God of Love Yahweh doing it himself.

Yes, you'd think Satan wouldn't want to torment people who followed in his footsteps by not worshiping the genocidal narcissist Yahweh. The idea is like a cartoonish "evil for evil's sake" type villain. He's just the fall guy, because we can't have Yahweh actually enjoy torturing people who don't believe in him. Despite the fact that he's the one who created hell, and the one who decided everyone deserves to go there. Like Hitler and concentration camps. he may not have personally killed any Jews, but he orchestrated the whole thing.
