No one believes that one species can magically turn into another without repeatable experiments and blah blah blah.
Evolution is actually deeply rooted in statistics (frequency of alleles in a population) and has been proven with the aid of molecular genetics. Since I don't have much time right now, look up the Hardy/Weinberg theorem. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hardy–Weinberg_principle

Basically, all it says is that a species stays largely the same if the 7 underlying assumptions of the theorem are respected. As soon as one of them stops being true, there will be a variation of the allelic frequencies in the population that, over time, might overlap with allelic variations of other genes. Thus, over the course of many, many (n)generations, there will eventually be a point when the variations that have added up are so many and so drastic, that the nth generation is significantly different from the 1st.

Bite me, I'm a biologist. Well, a student of bio(techno)logy. Oh well.

If there were successful repeatable, observable, verifiable scientific experiments demonstrating how it does not take a miracle for one species to turn into another species I feel certain there would be at least one documentary video on YouTube demonstrating this. I have not found any. So far, not a single atheist I have challenged has been able to produce any either.

So, it seems to me atheist blindly believe evolution to be a fact with no repeatable, observable, verifiable scientific experiments to back up their beliefs. It's 'take our word for it, evolution takes millions of years to happen'

Yet, apparently, the fossil records show that no changes worth noting have happened to MANY species over millions of years






However, I'm ready to be proven wrong. I mean, whether evolution is a fact or not has no bearing on my current life WHATSOEVER. My life continues on whether evolution is a fact or not.

Are you sure you want to go with denying evolution? It is a well established scientific fact, supported by multiple disciplines. The only way it could be false is if the entire scientific community is one big conspiracy. It seems like you're trying to pick between these options.

I would heavily advise a lot more research on evolution, and NOT from so-called christian scientists, who don't even know the first thing about it. No offence, but the way you talk about it highly points to you not having a good grasp of it.

I AM NOT DENYING ANYTHING. I am merely suspicious of ANY scientific claim not backed up by repeatable, observable experiments. I now refuse to have blind faith in ANYONE, PERIOD!! You can do all the research you like, but if you are doing your research determined to blindly believe those trying to hide the facts all you are going to get is tricked!

Science has been trying to hide the fact that mercury is toxic and has no business being in cavity fillings for MANY YEARS. Slowly this scam is being exposed and all your precious research will NOT make mercury less toxic than it actually is, period! Let the toxicity of mercury be your example of how much you should trust science to be honest with you!

Oh, please, stop posting links to that same video over and over, you are violating the 30/30 rule and it's so dumb that it's made some of my brain cells commit suicide. If there's no pressure from the environment and all other necessary conditions are verified, then the HWE is verified and a species doesn't change, even for long periods of time!

If you don't believe in evolution, read a genetics book. If you don't believe the genetics book, at the end of the book there will be a plethora of bibliographical citations of peer-reviewed papers, which in turn will cite more studies that can both contradict or reinforce their conclusions. Evolution is well documented and understood. Also, basically everything in biology makes sense only in the light of evolution.

I know nothing about this mercury shit, but in Europe even mercury thermometers are banned. So... I don't really know what you're talking about. And it doesn't follow that we should doubt the integrity of the whole scientific world because of one episode of dishonesty that was probably linked more to an interest of the industries than the validity of the scientific community as a whole.

You are right to be sceptical, but a "deny everything" approach won't get you anywhere. Follow the evidence. Evolution has so much evidence you could probably spend the rest of your life reading it. It's just not rut under your nose, like how obvious Gravity is. But they are both considered as strong in truth.

For the last time, evolution does not mean that one species magically turns into another! Have you even read the wikipedia page about the HWE? It's not speculative mythology: it's a mathematical model (not something you just pull out of your ass, mind you) and it makes sense with all the other evidence we have from molecular genetics and the fossil record. And molecular genetics alone can prove evolution and common descent, even without the fossil record. If you are going to doubt something, at least read about it first, and read it well.

MY RESPONSE: Well, my studies have taught me that the core of Darwin's THEORY (not fact) has been that, given enough time, one species can turn into another species. Supposedly, Darwin believed that the fossil records would eventually determine whether or not he was correct.
