I don't give a rat's ass if I am rude.

On Topic: Salt water is water with additives. The problem is that the additives cause the firefighting equipments to corrode. It's better to let it burn to completion.
Oh what a lovely person you are... lol
PS if you're about to post a reply and your response is going to be negative, improper, average, odd, obtuse, irrational, an argument, might change the focus, going off at a tangent or just mean ... go and find a maths forum to post on instead, they'll love you !!

It wouldn't surprise me in the least to learn that the vessel was supposed to have a fire-suppression system, but that it was inoperative - maintaining this costs money, and we all know how corporations LOVE to spend money keeping people safe from harm.

No one's really sure about the causes of the fire yet (I heard something on the news before but I don't remember exactly); some of the victims have been brought to my town's hospital for treatment, though.

As for the sprinklers... Who knows? I think they should have had fire extinguishers on board, and an alarm. Hell, in my campus you can't even smoke a cigarette, and the alarm goes off like crazy.

Facter: Every time two people kiss, an orphanage collapses.

Factest: Every time a baby is born, an innocent animal is severely mocked for its physical appearance. Don't be a pleasure hog. Your every smile is a dagger. Happiness is murder.

One of the news reports I read said that the fire-control doors failed. If these were allowed to get out of order, I can easily imagine sprinklers, fire extinguishers, etc not being in good enough repair to be of any help.

You're seriously arguing that it's better to let a fire burn, a fire which has cost innocent life, than to risk corrosion to firefighting equipment?

Seriously?

I seriously don't know what I was saying there. Really! Probably one of those brain dead moments.

Thank God is an expletive, like OMG, not a statement. I didn't say God saved the 400 and killed 8. God does not intervene!

No wonder you guys jump to conclusion without any rational analysis ... and loose out on arguments.

I've never lost an argument with a Christian while discussing the religious deity possibility, because it's not possible to begin with. The debate is pointless long before it begins. There is no proof. Show it or hush.
