Not if I can help it: back home I've got a lot of musically inclined friends willing to jam with me, which is nice because I prefer live recordings. I've been restricted since moving away, but honestly I don't think it'd feel the same using a simulator after all the time I've spent working out music in a group like that. Big Grin

Ah, awesome. I was just thinking, orchestrated+secret, sounded like simulator Smile

There's something about fingers on strings that a computer just cannot get.

They ignore anything that doesn't say "X elected member of the year!"

I feel there are definate benefits to using a simulator, the first being that it takes far less time.
When your talking orchestral, even a small chamber music group might have 18 people.
Too many to fit in the lounge room. :-)

Also, in the simulation, you can let a full orchestra play crap until you've fixed all mistakes without getting killed Smile

I just remember how awesome it was to be one of many. Being in an orchestra is a unique experience and I have a huge amount of respect for those of you who can conduct such a massive machine into making such beautiful things as the resonance of sound waves placed in perfect harmony. You are like painters of sound, and the band members are all distinct colors of paint to be combined to draw a one of a kind work of art.
We need to get Esquilax back to his orchestra soon; I dare say they might be distraught without his customized rendition of the Doctor Who theme song for their warm ups. Tongue
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!

Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.

Dead wrong.  The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.

Quote:Some people deserve hell.

I say again:  No exceptions.  Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it.  As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.

True, digital composing and recording is much more convenient. I prefer the idiosyncrasies of a live performance by a talented musician.

Just so everyone isn't tentatively awaiting results every minute/hour/day.. Member awards are set to be awarded after the weekend. I made everyone custom awards this year, which increases Tibs' programming involvement and award result turnaround. I'm hoping the awards can show up on every winners' awards area for the year, which would be fun!

Be patient with sir Tiberius for me, please. I wanted to try to make awards this year special.

And they are certainly worth waiting for.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'
