Oh! If only I could be around when the explorers of the future set foot on the New New Worlds! Such tales of hope and excitement they would surely bring to our weary lands!

Sure they would... with 500 years delay though Big Grin

But I agree, it lets you dream, doesn't it...

I am a complete sucker for the Space age. The sense of excitement and adventure that was present in the 50s and 60s is sorely lacking in modern times.

500 years...pshhhh.

Humans "just" need to figure out a way to extend longevity by a few hundred years and outsmart the cosmic speed limit.

But c'mon, we're the species that went from cave-dwelling to moon-walking in a few thousand years!

At last, a replacement for Roddenberry!

"The greatest deception men suffer is from their own opinions" - Leonardo da Vinci

"I think I use the term “radical” rather loosely, just for emphasis. If you describe yourself as “atheist,” some people will say, “Don’t you mean ‘agnostic’?” I have to reply that I really do mean atheist, I really do not believe that there is a god; in fact, I am convinced that there is not a god (a subtle difference). I see not a shred of evidence to suggest that there is one ... etc., etc. It’s easier to say that I am a radical atheist, just to signal that I really mean it, have thought about it a great deal, and that it’s an opinion I hold seriously." - Douglas Adams (and I echo the sentiment)

We also went from stone throwing to nuclear bomb throwing. And that may be a problem in the long run.

Exactly. And the direction reads "get the fuck out of there"
