And you thought I was being serious? Even if that little band of murdering nomads existed, they were not writing books.
You make people miserable and there's nothing they can do about it, just like god.

God has no place within these walls, just as facts have no place within organized religion.

ROFLOL exactly what type of sociopath murdering group of cares about god or religion they have things scheduled like going rampaging in a town, killing people, killing babies, and also making girls their wives. Man i am glad we are civilized now and those things are bad.

Drich #2 Wrote:The deal here is, I followed the bible and found what I was promised. In doing so I have verified the validity of the book. Now I am responsible for it's contents. (Whatever it says.)

Of the above, which happened first for you?

If it was #1, then #2, that would be circular reasoning. If it was in reverse, what even made you think you'd see results? Not having #1 to begin with means that you would've been in the *same boat* as me, since you agreed with my position (in the event that you were an Atheist). *So*, that makes me think you've always had the belief in God first, which means your reasoning is just as valid as that of a Muslim, or Hindu, or any other religious person already convinced that their interpretation of the divine is right ergo their Holy book is the truth.

RE: Who Wrote the Torah?
@Davka, I just finished reading "From Gods to God" and wanted to suggest the book (if you haven't already read it). Many of the arguments hinged on details of Hebrew grammar, etc. that I couldn't follow. It was still interesting for me, but I am sure it would be more interesting for somebody who knows more.

This is the only thing I have to say, Moses wrote what God inspired within him.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

There is no evidence that Moses wrote anything at all.
