Reminds me of this

The fool hath said in his heart, There is a God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
Psalm 14, KJV revised edition

People come here and "adopt" skulls, praying to them to have their wishes fulfilled. Every day, they go to their "capuzzella" (Neapolitan for "little head"), they clean it, they talk to it, maybe build it a nice little case...

In fact, you can see that some skulls are actually placed in cases with inscriptions like "Per grazia ricevuta" ("For having received a favour").

Oh. Hell. Yes. Hell, the fuck, yes.

As part of the Mrandom series:

Okay, I'm not usually a fan of Bruno Mars. I think he sounds kinda whiny and effeminate (and not in the good way; I mean in the whiny pussy sort of way).

But the best way I can describe how I felt about this song about thirty seconds in requires a famous quote from Django Unchained.

Quote:Gentlemen, you had my curiosity. But now, you have my attention.

So, I went to go spend some koalatee time with my lovely, and at her urging, we did some photography with me as the subject. These are the various shots she took. Some of them are 'final takes,' and some were just 'attempts.' Either way, I like how most of these came out.

Ok that wasn't part of it. She was just taking pictures of her dad's puppies for him to sell them, and I was holding them all after each one was individually photographed, so...

Shhh.

Yeah, we both love cemeteries. Can you tell...?

These two were inspired by a scene from The Crow.

Fuck me it was hard getting onto that monument...and staying on it.

Winter. Marble. Moss. Ice.

Yeah.

Great getup, Creedie Smile
Please give me a home where cloud buffalo roam
Where the dear and the strangers can play
Where sometimes is heard a discouraging word
But the skies are not stormy all day

Lookin' good Creed!

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the Capuchin Crypt in Rome. I went there a few years ago... SO cool.

When I was little, I watched a documentary about that and l couldn't sleep for a whole week :S
"Every luxury has a deep price. Every indulgence, a cosmic cost. Each fiber of pleasure you experience causes equivalent pain somewhere else. This is the first law of emodynamics [sic]. Joy can be neither created nor destroyed. The balance of happiness is constant.

Fact: Every time you eat a bite of cake, someone gets horsewhipped.

Facter: Every time two people kiss, an orphanage collapses.

Factest: Every time a baby is born, an innocent animal is severely mocked for its physical appearance. Don't be a pleasure hog. Your every smile is a dagger. Happiness is murder.

Vote "yes" on Proposition 1321. Think of some kids. Some kids."
