Needs more polka, IMO.

Huh. Jazz. It's something I like, and I have a few things that I adore, but I could never get into it so fanatically as some people, who make some crazy esoteric science out of it.
Here's something from an album I've enjoyed a lot, a kind of anarchic big band sound

I'm a bit mixed as to how I feel about all these subgenres. Sometimes it just seems to reduce to hipster lingo. I don't try to be a hipster. I like what I like, without apology. My main genres are old jazz (mostly hard bop), indie (indie rock, shoegaze, indie pop, etc---at least that's what terms I've heard), and drone, which is a subset of ambient.
I understand what you are saying about mixed feelings.. I have them too sometimes...
shoegaze sounds cool.. whats that?? sample?
Favorite drummer for me.. Keith Moon.. crazy, messy, fun...

I'm bad at describing any of this stuff, and don't pay tooo close to subgenres. Recent finds I like are A Sunny Day In Glasgow, Alvvays, Jesus and Mary Chain, The Fitness, Camera Obscura, Belle and Sebastian, and many others.
Favorite indie bands are Arcade Fire, Add N to (X), Colin Stetson (more experimental)...
Favorite drone entity is Stars of the Lid
Favorite jazz entities are Thelonious Monk and Duke Ellington

Here's one thing I think could be amazing but hasn't been sufficiently developed yet - flamenco metal.
I do admit I like the word "electroswing". Couldn't tell you anything about it though.
