I think he was referring to the legal drinking age. It can be a big deal in the US

Oh sorry, I've been able to legally buy drinks (at least beers) since I was 16 and since I was 18 I could buy any drink - I don't drink too much though. I've been voting since I was 18 as well. But I understand it now
technically I've been buying drinks since I was 14 but that's a little illegal to mention
